Convair 240 N1022C
Our magnificant Convair 240 N1022C originally flew with American Airlines, Mohawk Airlines, several other carriers, and ended its flying career with Trans-Florida Airlines. From 1997 until 2009, the Convair was parked at the Daytona Beach (Florida) International Airport.
USAIMF relocated the Convair in Fall 2009 to Apopka, Florida (about 15 miles northwest of Orlando) at the Apopka Regional Airport alongside US Route 441. USAIMF is working closely with the local city governments to establish a permanent airline historical museum to showcase this aircraft and many others as a tribute to the airline industry.
