What USAIMF is all about......

Our Mission Statement

Accomplishing that primary goal, the Foundation will then support the museum and pursue its ultimate goal of heritage preservation and in gratitude, assist the education of the younger generations in the values that made the U.S. airline industry achieve greatness.

One of the purposes of the organization is to solicit and receive pledges and donations of financial support and properties and to distribute these, at the proper time, to a tax-exempt entity, such as a municipality, in support of a museum dedicated to the airline industry.

Our first steps.

USAIMF’s assets include Convair 240, N1022C, which is currently parked in Apopka, Florida. This aircraft was originally flown by American Airlines before moving onto Mohawk Airlines and finally with Trans-Florida Airlines. This aircraft is one of the few remaining Convair 240s with its original airline interior, right down to the seat buckles with the Mohawk name and logo. USAIMF’s goal is to relocate this historic aircraft to a permanent facility and restore the exterior and interior to its former glory.
